Brick Testing
IS 3495
Brick is a fundamental building material used in modern construction that has largely replaced the use of stone — a solid unit of standard size and weight made of fired clay. Bricks are manufactured by grinding or crushing clay in mills, mixing it with water to make it plastic, then moulding, texturing, drying and firing it. Because the composition of clay varies widely, causing variation in engineering properties, testing is essential before bricks go into any building.
We test to IS 3495: dimensional measurement, water absorption, density and compressive strength.
